The child wakes up, expecting to see a familiar face of terror before him, but what he sees is a white emptiness, gently carrying him away from the burning house.

It wasn’t the face of a monster, unlike the one in his home; who leave its painful marks on his fragile body, who hurt his mom until she died of grief, and unable to help him… no it was pale white, eyeless but he find it comforting.

“Just like those dummies in the mall where mom used to take me to…” he thought.

He held tightly on his ghostly savior, and close his eyes to sleep in his arms, as he was taken far away from his burning home, from the monster, and into the forest.

#he comes for the children #he’ll fucking kill anyone who will abuse a child

Tumblr, turning a terrifying urban legend into a misunderstood saviour.

They’re worse than thieves, tracers or anyone else.

They send anonymous hate.

They expect to say whatever they want and get away with it because they’re anonymous. They abuse the trust tumblr users give their visitors in allowing anonymous questions.

It’s not called “expressing their opinion” or “free speech”. It’s called senseless bashing.

If the ‘victim’ (let’s just call it that for now) responds to the message defending themselves, they’re accused of “flipping their shit [at criticism]”.

If the victim’s followers defend them, the victim is accused of “sicking their followers at haters” or the defenders are accused of “white-knighting”.

The message in the picture wasn’t even directed at me, and I’m furious. Man, the internet is an unfair place.

This is a theory. It hasn’t been confirmed that it’s true, but it COULD be.

(Plus the companion cube was supposedly “killed” when she incinerated it, and now she’s with it again.

This is interesting, but I refuse to accept it as a head canon because the game is far too tragic already.)

I like to think that she never escaped and that she’s still in Aperture because early in Portal 2 there were meant to be artificial farms (with artificial cornfields) inside Aperture.

why must you hurt me this way?!!! D:

Beacuse it just coudln’t get more tragic.

Soldiers in Belarus found a little squirrel and brought it to the Warrant officer. The squirrel was very weak and about to die, so the officer took care of it and fed it like a baby every four hours.

Three months ago the guy left the army and now works as a taxi driver and the squirrel is always in his pocket no matter where he goes!

Hitler flirting with Eva Braun.

I don’t know how this makes me feel

It makes me feel very uncomfortable

You know what’s so uncomfortable about this? It shows that perhaps one of the most evil men in history, was a human being. That, on occasion, he could be nice, even flirty. That’s not all. You want to see evil people as evil, screaming horrible stuff over a desk with 20 microphones with 20, 000 people saluting them. The evil is clear and recognizable then. This shows a completely different image, it scares you because that means that evil isn’t a stereotype, that evil is not recognizable, that evil could be anyone. It scares you because this shows that could be lurking inside anyone and you’ll never ever know. Maybe in you?

“Those of us who enjoy freedom of expression, freedom of thought, and engage in the academic discipline of critical inquiry cannot and should not be intimidated into silencing our examination, research, and yes, our critique of religion simply because many vocal (and a few violent) religious fundamentalists don’t like it, regardless of the religion under examination and regardless of the nationality of the protestor.
Whether it takes place in the streets of Cairo, the airwaves of talk radio, or on the stage of the Republican National Convention, scholars should never back down from critiquing the virtues and vices of any ideology, be it politics, economics, or religion.”

holy shit dude

If you don’t know Alex, I suggest you read up on him. Because yeah, sure, any parrot can mimic, but Alex was one of the first to prove on many occasions that he understood the meaning behind the words he said.

With that in mind, just think about what he said for a sec. Alex had to understand on some level that death means leaving. That’s fucking mindblowing.

Alex also was shown to have the intelligence of a young child, anywhere from 3 to 5 years old. He could do basic addition and subtraction, and independently taught himself the concept of zero (something that most CIVILIZATIONS couldn’t do!) He had a vocabulary of thousands of words, some of which he made up himself, and had deep interpersonal bonds with many scientists and trainers, as well as other parrots.

Alex the parrot is basically the coolest bird ever.
